Lake Leake Inn

Steeped in history, Lake Leake Inn is a charming country pub that’s family and budget friendly. Offering good old fashion counter meals, it also happens to be home to what many have claimed to be the best steaks in Tassie!

Sit back, relax and enjoy a meal while our three toasty log wood fires keep you warm or entertain yourself in the fully equip games room.

If you fancy an overnight stay, there are six standard rooms, (each with shared bathroom facilities), or free onsite pet-friendly camping for self-contained RVs spread across 10 acres.

Located just 100 metres from one of Tasmania’s premier trout fishing lakes, Lake Leake is regularly stocked with brown and rainbow trout making it the perfect destination for fishing enthusiasts.

While down by the lake, why not take in the views and enjoy the convenience of nearby amenities including undercover picnic tables, BBQ, large fire pit, hot showers and toilets.

Lake Leake Inn is the perfect spot for bushwalking and exploring Meetus and Lost falls. Otherwise the Inn is also centrally and conveniently located 30 minutes from the East Coast town of Swansea, (which has an abundance of beautiful wineries),  30 minutes from Campbell Town and 2 hours from Hobart.

A cosy little tap room, dining room, and games room. Food and service were great. We stayed overnight, the rooms were basic but clean. Shared bathrooms as expected in a pub/hotel. Really enjoyed our time here. Owners and staff were very focused on making sure everyone had a great time. We'll definitely be back.

A great place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet. Plenty space for the RV (self contained), Troy and Anne were wonderful hosts too. Excellent food, fun atmosphere with an unexpected bonus of excellent live music.

I stayed here about 10 years ago. The rooms were quite small, and basic, but they were dry. Plenty of camping room out the back. I revisited again recently. They have really improved the pub. There is a lovely beer garden area outside, the camping areas have been improved, there is a good car park as well as an outdoor bar. I was really impressed. The owners told us they'd been there about a year. They were lovely people and the food was great. If this was on the mainland I'd definitely visit more often.

Best pub in Tasmania!! First of all, the food. Every bit of food that leaves the kitchen is made with love and care. Everything tastes amazing as well as looks amazing. There is always something new on the specials board that could be made from Jodie, Noah or Troy which not only tastes beautiful but has the price to match. Secondly, the service, everyone is always so friendly and makes the trip out to the pub worth while. With being only 100 metres from the lake, it’s perfect for an after fishing beer and meal. Thirdly, the rooms and amenities are always clean and comfortable. Just an all round happy, helpful and welcoming pub. 100% recommend to anyone
